Linda Langford
Linda Langford is a public health professional with expertise in strategic planning, health communications, and program evaluation. Special interests include evidence-based practice, environmental prevention approaches, social norms, practitioner-researcher collaboration, and translating research to practice.
For more than two decades at EDC, Langford has served in leadership roles on many projects, including multiple training and technical assistance centers. She has supported states, tribes, campuses, and communities nationwide in developing effective efforts to prevent suicide, violence, and substance abuse. Recently, she supported the development of the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention’s Framework for Successful Messaging and the Suicide Prevention Resource Center’s Effective Suicide Prevention Model.
Langford holds a Doctorate in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
