Chris Krebs
Dr. Christopher Krebs is a Chief Scientist in the Division for Applied Justice Research at RTI International, which is a nonprofit research organization committed to conducting research that improves the human condition. He has a B.S. in Sociology from Emory University, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Criminology from Florida State University. He has extensive research experience in the areas of corrections, intimate partner violence, sexual violence, criminal justice systems, and program evaluation. Dr. Krebs has been at RTI since 2000 and has extensive experience designing studies, developing survey instruments, analyzing data, and disseminating findings. He has published and presented numerous research papers on a wide variety of topics, many of which stem from his research on the prevalence, nature, and measurement of sexual harassment and sexual assault among college populations. He was the Project Director on the Campus Climate Survey Validation Study (CCSVS; https://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/ccsvsftr.pdf), which was funded by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) and the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) and involved surveying 23,000 students across 9 universities to estimate the prevalence of sexual harassment and sexual assault, and measure the associated climate.
