Safeguard Well-Being of Military Community Members, and Strengthen Unit Cohesion

implement practices that increase knowledge and build skills

Soteria Solutions has implemented the Bringing in the Bystander (BITB) Prevention Program working collaboratively with more than 600 organizations nationally and internationally. The common goal is creating and maintaining safe and respectful learning, working and living communities void of incivility, harassment, violence and discrimination.

An Evidence-Based Solution: Bringing in the Bystander Prevention Program

Bringing in the Bystander (BITB) is a prevention program based on the concept that all community members have a role to play in ending incivility, harassment, violence and discrimination. The important role that a bystander has in intervention is the basis for this unique and effective program.

An ultimate goal is to safeguard the well-being of fellow military community members, preserve unit readiness, and strengthen unit cohesion.

The program helps participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to identify and safely intervene before, during and after instances of risky behaviors. The program highlights how prevention supports mission readiness and is meant by a comprehensive approach and prevention efforts.
