Two Day Virtual Train the Trainer Workshop

Day 1: Wednesday August 3, 2022 1:00pm-4:30pm (EDT)

Day 2: Thursday August 4, 2022 1:00pm-4:30pm (EDT)

Audience

Participants should be individuals who will facilitate training others using the Bringing in the Bystander® College Curriculum at your college or university.

Attendees will gain the skills to both facilitate the program and train additional facilitators.

Attendees must represent an organization with an active license*.

Overview of the Virtual Bringing in the Bystander® Training

  1. This training will cover how to facilitate our bystander intervention program using the newest version of Bringing in the Bystander, Version 3*.

  2. Training will include how to present the curriculum in a virtual setting and for in-person training.

  3. The trainers will model how attendees (future facilitators) will train via livestream.

  4. The trainers will answer questions and troubleshoot issues related to live virtual delivery.

  5. The trainers will identify areas of the curriculum that are adaptable and give examples of how to customize BITB for your college campus.

  6. Training will include tips for on-line social marketing to reinforce bystander intervention skills.

*The fundamentals of the BITB training are the same for all license versions. If your organization does not have Version 3 of BITB, the training slides and facilitator guide will be different. Please contact us if you want to renew your license early and receive the latest license version. We will extend your license timeframe so no time is lost.

Meet the Trainers:  Soteria Solutions’ trainers are national leaders in the area of sexual and interpersonal violence and harassment prevention. They bring decades of both practical and research experience to the training courses.

Registration Fees: $400 per person for the two day virtual training.  

Cost includes access to download the electronic training packet materials as well as a hardcopy training packet that contains one easy-to-use Facilitator Guide sent via mail to each attendee.

Registrants must have a current Bringing in the Bystander® College Curriculum license that does not expire within 6 months of training dates.

Additional Details/Requirements:

  • Prior to hardcopy materials being shipped to attendees, the participating organizations must have valid license agreement and payment processed.  Materials shipped within one week of training will require rush shipping and the participating organization will be responsible for rush shipping charges. 

  • Video/Audio: This training requires attendees to have a microphone and a web camera. Attendees should be ready to attend this highly interactive training with both video and microphones on. Small group breakout sessions are part of the training; attendees should be comfortable interacting virtually with trainers and other attendees.
